About RNG
Chris Rogers, David Nemeth and Mike Germain were partners at a nationally-ranked construction law firm when they departed to form Rogers Nemeth Germain (RNG) in 2014 because they shared a philosophy of how to best serve their clients in the construction industry.
At RNG, we focus on providing timely and practical legal advice tailored to our client’s business objectives. Understanding our client’s business philosophy and needs is an integral part of what we do, and is the very foundation of our firm. We make it a priority to listen to our clients so that we understand the exact nature of their legal issue and the business goals they want to achieve at the outset of any engagement. This enables RNG to offer efficient, cost-effective and creative solutions to its clients’ problems.
RNG’s expertise lies in the construction and engineering backgrounds and experience of its founding partners, who, in addition to years of practicing construction law, have hands-on experience working in the construction industry. This experience enables RNG’s lawyers to assess each of their client’s legal issues from the perspective of construction professionals, as well as construction lawyers. The result is a firm uniquely tailored to the needs of the construction industry.
RNG represents contractors, subcontractors, design professionals and engineers, developers and owners on public and private construction projects, including heavy civil, highway, power and water plants, stadiums, industrial, government and military, commercial and residential. RNG’s attorneys are uniquely qualified to handle the complex legal issues encountered in today’s construction industry, regardless of the type, size or complexity of the project involved. While not a complete list, RNG’s services include: drafting and negotiating all types of construction contracts; preparing, prosecuting and defending against bid protests; counseling during ongoing projects; negotiation of changes and extra work; termination issues; surety bond claims; project close-out negotiation and documentation; mechanic’s liens and stop notices; prosecution and defense of claims; alternative dispute resolution (mediation and arbitration); litigation in federal and state trial and appellate courts.
RNG’s commitment to its clients extends beyond those matters for which the firm is retained. Because the legal and construction industries are constantly changing, RNG provides its clients with free in-house seminars and publications relating to legal and construction topics that impact their business. These topics may include recent changes in laws and regulations, ways to improve their project documentation, risk and claims avoidance techniques, and maximizing project revenue through early identification and proper documentation of claims and disputes. RNG regularly publishes articles on current events, recently published legal decisions and other subjects of interest to our clients, and are regular speakers at industry events and continuing education seminars. RNG attorneys are also active members of various industry associations, including the Associated General Contractors of America, American Society of Civil Engineers, and the United States Green Building Council.
